As a cat lover and experienced cat sitter, I provide home visits to your cat that give the same level of love, care and affection that you provide as an owner.  Whether you are going on holiday, having a weekend break or need someone to look after your feline friend whilst at work or away from your home.  I will provide their usual routine in their home surroundings with lots of added love for your peace of mind.

Cat care to suit you and your cat...

My aim as a cat sitter is to provide an excellent and loving service that is unique to each cat’s individual needs.  There definitely isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach to your cats care, as they are  ‘one of a kind’; their welfare and happiness is my priority.  You can be assured that I will give your cat (or cats!), as much love and attention as if they were my own.

Based in Mulbarton I can easily visit any locations in close proximity to Mulbarton, Hethersett, Wymondham, Cringleford, Keswick, Ashwellthorpe and surrounding areas of south Norwich, including NR4, NR9, NR14, NR16 and NR18.  However, if I haven’t mentioned your area and you are relatively close by please get in touch.

Leaving a cat can be a stressful time for both you and your furry friend however, leaving your cat in his/her home relieves that stress significantly.  Cats are territorial creatures with amazing senses and don’t like change.  So it is of no surprise that being put into a carrier, transported to a cattery and taken away from all familiar sights, odours, sounds and space is an uncomfortable and less than pleasant experience for a cat.  Cats are creatures of home comforts and far happier in their own and familiar environment, surroundings and routines.  I provide them with their usual routines, of play, grooming, diet, medication and care they need.

As a little extra reassurance, I am qualified as a Feline First Aider, DBS checked and fully insured so you are in the safest of hands.

My care

I offer cat care visits in your own home allowing your cat to remain in his/her usual surroundings and territory.  I can visit once, twice or as many times a day as you require.

Each visit is special for me and for your cat too and will provide them with the care they need and will definitely include playing, fussing, grooming or sitting with them if that is what they like but if your cat prefers his/her own company that’s ok too; I can keep the visit shorter so as not to disturb them any more than necessary.  Each cat is unique, some cats are confident and happy for fuss straight away, some are nervous and require a much slower approach.  I can also let cats in/out as they need.

It's all part of the care I provide...

When we meet, you will realise that I absolutely adore cats and my care is as individual as they are. My care will including:

Arrange a meet and greet to get to know exactly what you and your cat need and to discuss any specifics about their care to make sure both you and they are happy. It gives me a great opportunity to meet your cat too.

During each visit I will clean the feeding area, wash bowls, replenish food and water, as well as clean out and empty litter trays and deal with any animal mishaps. If needed I am happy to visit a pet shop and top up supplies if they run out during your time away.

Caring for your cat will always be my top priority and I make the visit exactly what your cat needs and enjoys and include playtime, cuddles, fussing and grooming, if they enjoy that. I will also let cats in and out (keeping them in if they are a stay at home cat) as part of their usual routine.

In the unlikely event your cat needs medical assistance while you are away, I would seek veterinary treatment from their usual vet. I am happy to administer medication if required and agreed with you.

Additional pets? If you have other pets such as guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, hens or fish, I am very happy to look after them too. This would include replenishing food and water as well as cleaning out cages. For the fluffy variety I am happy to take them out of their cage if you would like me to.

Cat diary - I’ll keep you informed! If you are happy for me to do so, I will send update messages including photos and videos, to let you know how your cat and I are getting along. I always send a message and pictures after my first visit to say that all is well! There’s nothing worse, than being away from your special friend and wondering if the ‘cat sitter’ has turned up.

Caring for your home! If you are on holiday while I am caring for your cat, I can give your home an occupied look by picking up post, opening and shutting curtains, turning lights/radios on and off, watering plants and putting out bins. I can also leave essentials such as bread, milk etc. for your return home.

Your home will be kept and left exactly as I find it and your cat will enjoy being in the comfort of their own home with all their creature comforts.

I am happy to 'hold' keys if required for future visits.

About me

I simply adore cats!

I still have my favourite childhood book ‘Kittens and More Kittens’.  I spent many hours looking at the picture cover deciding which were my favourite kittens.  Of course, I could never really choose.  My dream was to be like the lady in my story book who says: “I will never have too many kittens”.

Realising now that this is not entirely practical, I fulfil my dream by cat sitting; helping other cat lovers by providing a cat sitting service ensuring your cat wants for nothing.

I was lucky enough to grow up in the company of two beautiful Siamese cats and have owned gorgeous moggies throughout my life.   My love for cats has only ever grown.

Bookings can be from one day to however long is needed.  Cost of a visit is usually £8.00, this includes my travel costs and an initial free meet and greet to take all necessary information for the care of your cat(s), meeting you and your special friend(s) and any other small pets and key collection at  that visit.

The cost may vary dependent on the full postcode that I’m visiting. Generally this cost is per visit  regardless of the number of cat(s)/pets, however there may be a small charge if there are lots of animals to love or additional services needed. The charge will increase slightly for bank holidays and Christmas day/boxing day.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer/BACS and I will invoice for each of the services I provide.
